i want a nap

Lets see what should I post about today. I flung the kitten off the bed this morning as he was in full on play mode and decided that my face would be a good place to sharpen his claws. So I got up on my day off, let pickle out of her cage and wandered out to the living room where Crystal got up a couple of minutes later. She showered and left for work shortly after. I played with Chaucer for abit and tried to nap on the couch. (memo to self, get more comfortable pillows for the couch.) I decided that the couch was not too comfy so I dragged myself to the bed and tried to sleep. About 20 minutes after I fell asleep, the phone started to ring so I ran to the kitchen and answered it; it was my mom saying that they will be comming down on the 3rd of September! W00t! So no I have to see if I can take a couple of days before inventory. I forgot to ask how long they would be staying down here.

I’m really happy that they are comming, maybe they can help Robin out abit. I really hope so. I called and told Robin who was very happy that they are comming, and was sure that Nanny would be happy too. Nanny need to have news like this.

Last night Crystal and I dinged level 52 last night in WoW. Only 6 more levels before I get to pimp walk through the dark portal and really get some levels fast now! I mean I have to hit 70 before the next expansion comes out so I can experience it when it comes out! I’m still trying to figure out if I am gonna respec come lvl 60. I don’t know, but I guess I’ll figure it out.

Oh god Martha Stewart is on tv now, where the hell is that remote?

Well it was a great day here at Casa McBride. We did nothing but sit and play world of Warcraft all day. Crystal and I finally hit lvl 49. We’ve been doing really well once we get to playing. A few guildies today took us in to ZF and and we totally killed everything in there, even the last 29 mobs that we searched for so I could ding. 22 more lvls and we have beaten the game, we’ll have pwnd everything in the game! As we were playing I had ordered pizza from Dominos.com. Lemmie tell you. We’ll be ordering from there again. So much better than Papa John’s. So much.

Got my cheque from my birth father who passed away. Lemmie just say; thank you “dad”. He’s my birthdad, thats all. Not my dad. My dad is Neal McBride, I may not call him dad but he’s it. But the money I got from my birth dad with help us get a new place to live. We just have to wait for it to clear the bank and we should be able to start the moving process.

And now for pictures, cause everyone loves pictures!

trip home part 3

Boxing Day.

Boxing day, we got up early had something to eat, and stopped quickly at the Wal-mart to grab some last minute things. I grabbed some A535, and some Buckleys for Crystal. I also grabbed some choclate covered liquors for Brian and Robin, and a book for nanny. Earlier in the week I also introduced KinderSurprise to Crystal, I think she loved it!

After Wal-Mart, we settled in for a 2.5 hour trip to where my parents live. We stopped to get gas, and I found Brian a bag of roast chicken flavoured potato chips. Its weird cause in Rhode island, you can get anywhere in the state in 45 minutes or less so by the end of the drive it was nice to stand up. It was a beautiful drive, with nothing but straight roads and farmland as far as the eye could see. We saw cows, horses, and even llamas.

When we got to Rocky Mountain House, we got settled in to my parents 5th wheel. Man is it a nice home. I was very jealous of Neal’s big screen tv! We sat and watched Miami ink on tv and chatted. Neal went to have a nap while Crystal and I were getting hissed at by my moms cat. Crystal even got scratched by her.

After Neal got up, we decided on where to go for supper. I suggested the Black Stump, or as I called it, the sump pump! Unfortunatly it was closed. Neal wanted to go to Red Deer, which is a town about 45 minutes away for supper. But we convinced him to go to Boston Pizza, which is right down the road from where we were. So we went there and had a great dinner. I finally got some Baked Tortilini Alfredo, that I had been talking about for years and years.

When we got back to their trailer, we went through old pictures of me, neal and my mom. Crystal got to choose some new crochet patterns, and we turned in early for one of the longest days of the whole trip. In the morning we got up, dressed, and stopped at Tim Hortons for coffee and breakfast. Looking back on it now, I should have gotten something to eat, cause it was the last time we could have eaten untill about 6is-7ish that night.

We got through customs very easily and made our way to the gate. By this time it had started to snow. Uh-oh. First our plane was delayed getting to the gate, so we had to wait another hour. When we could finally board, we waited, we waited to get the bags on, and waited to be de-iced. All in all, I think we waited in the plane for another 2.5 hours. Then we got to take off!

Course when we landed in Chicago, all of the connecting flights had expired, so we raced to the ticket counter and managed to get ourselves on another flight to Providence. Along with a 90 minute wait. So i got us some McDonalds, and we wolfed that down and waited. At last we could board and we took off on time. If you ever get the chance to sit in the emergency exit row, do it, you get lots of leg room, and a funky fold out tray. We got to watch and episode of the Office. That passed the time great. So we actually landed in Providence about 10 minutes early.

Getting our bags was alot easier this time. Course we only got 1 out of 2 bags, so I had to do some more paperwork again. This time I knew the drill, and got it delivered to Nanny house. I think it came the next day, which was great as it had all the Christmas presents in it. By this time it was about 1:30 am so I called the walmart 1800 number, and chose “Natural Disaster” and called out cause I knew it would be about 2:30-3am when we finally got home. It was and we slept untill about 10-11 the next day.

Its nice to visit Canada, but even nicer to sleep in your own bed at the end of the trip.
