This is a picture of the cat, right after I made the bed, he climbed up the back side of thebed, under the covers and is now sleeping there. I’ve never seen him do this before.

Heh yeah, a real post from me. Its been crazy busy at work, with everyone starting to get ready for Black Friday. Holy shit! That’s just one week away!

Yesterday, I covered for the DSD (Direct Store Delivery) associate. Nothing like 8 hours of standing in bascially one spot checking in the local vendors. (Anywhere from soda, to bread) After that, UPS came in. Now the day before, UPS brought in 40 pieces of freight. Yesterday, however, they brought in 118 boxes. 118 boxes that have to each be opened up, and every piece has to be scanned in by hand. Yesterday was the first day that I didn’t finish by noon. I finally walked out of the backroom at 3:45. Just enough time to take my last break. In addition to the 118 pieces of UPS, when the milk vendor came in, he had 861 pieces of milk, ranging anywhere from milk chugs, to gallons of milk to half gallons of Egg Nog.

When I finally left, I had only not checked in about 8 boxes, and maybe 15-20 boxes of Site to Store. I think I did pretty well. Course since I couldn’t leave the backroom all day, my main job suffered terribly. I kinda feel bad for H, my counterpart in the Claims area. She’s been sick for the past 2 days, and had to walk in to a very very bad mess in Claims this morning.

Since maybe some of you guys are curious, this is what my work space looks like at home. I’ll try and remember to take a picture of my work space at work, and post it here too.

Well time to veg, and maybe do some laundry today.

Since one of my two readers is demanding something other than a twitter post, here’s what I did today that was not in a twitter message

I got to work, and processed some claims. After 1/2 an hour I didn’t want to stand, so I sat down and checked my email. I had some more recalls comming down the pipeline. Ok, time for more claims to be processed. I worked on some rotten food, some electronics, and some pharmacy claims.

Right before break I went over to the 1 hour photo lab to get some pictures printed.

I went to a morning meeting.

I had more coffee. By this time its cold.

I text messaged Crystal.

I went back about an hour later to pick up my pictures.

I remembered to update my Brightkite location.

I took two shooping carts of trash to receiving, where the compactor was full.

Oh! Its lunch time. I had a buffalo chicken flat bread sandwich, 2 cakesters, and a cherry coke, along with some bbq chips. Yummy.

End of lunch, I went to receiving and covered the start of Randy’s break. After 15 minutes I locked up receiving and went back to claims. I binned some Site to Store merch.

Yay, its break time.

Break time is over.

Time to check my email again. Ahh! a response about a Site to Store problem.

Problem resolved.

That was my day. Pretty busy today. I was working almost 90% of the time. Thats good for me on a Monday.

I’ve carved the last pumpkin, and decorated the house. I just have to change out the lightbulb outside and Casa McBride/Smith is all done! Now all I have to do is wait for night fall and light the pumpkins!
